Mother, daughter killed in double shooting in N.J.

Authorities in Burlington County are searching for a suspect in a double shooting that left two women dead in Willingboro Township, officials said Thursday.
Catherine Nunenz, 33, and her mother, Marisol Nunez, 54, were found dead early Wednesday morning in a home in the Hawthorne Park neighborhood of Willingboro after police were called for a home invasion, authorities said.
Authorities were called to the first block of Harrington Circle at about 4 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a burglary in progress, officials said.
Investigators discovered that the intruders entered the home through a first-floor window that had been broken and fled the scene before police arrived, authorities said Thursday.
The women were found in an upstairs bedroom and pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. The Burlington County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death for both women to be the result of gunshot wounds, officials said.
No arrests have been made, and authorities believe the shooting was not a random incident, officials said.
No additional details about the incident and investigation were released by authorities Thursday.
An investigation is being conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department.
